As a Technical Writer on our team, you'll be working with federal clients and Steampunk team members to support our team of Cybersecurity professionals as we develop and codify business processes, standardize methods and techniques, and provide documentation and business process improvement support to a variety of teams and clients.
You’ll be challenged and encouraged to work collaboratively with team members of our Program Management team, clients, individual team members, and leadership to customize and tailor documentation to support business process standardization, accountability, and increased efficiency and effectiveness. You’ll be asked to identify areas of improvement that can be made in business processes and then work to document and implement those improvements within the program.
You’ll be asked to write and edit easy-to-understand documentation, online help, and guides to support our Cybersecurity mission. This means that you’ll have the opportunity to demonstrate and expand on the development of your customer service skills, and the ability to be flexible and adaptive to a fast-paced, fluid business environment. You’ll be asked on a daily basis to leverage you excellent ability to communicate effectively and decisively with all levels of the organization and be able to solve practical problems as well as exercise sound judgement with regards to sensitive and confidential information.
Note: This role allows you to work from home/telework two days per week!

You will apply your knowledge and expertise working on a project to build deep learning networks solving problems in problems in the areas of fraud detection and cybersecurity.

Steampunk is looking for someone experienced in being a Scrum Master for Salesforce development. If you’ve got an appetite for taking on new challenges, this is the job for you! You're going to be challenged each day with new and complex mission and delivery opportunities as you serve as the Scrum Master for at least two agile teams working off a common backlog of Salesforce development for a major mission system.
Steampunk is searching for a Data Analyst to support a government customer on site in Washington, DC. The primary responsibilities for the position are retrieving data, manipulating data, and responding to requests for specific data pertaining to subjects removed from the United States. The nature of the work requires that the candidate demonstrate initiative, organization, responsibility, customer service skills, and the ability to be flexible and adaptive to a fast-paced, fluid business environment. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively and decisively with all levels of the organization and be able to solve practical problems as well as exercise sound judgement with regards to sensitive and confidential information.

- Proficient in utilizing Excel to perform the following:
- Creating PivotTables and utilizing dynamic ranges
- Using a master pivot table to drive other pivot tables (via a VBA macro)
- Measuring your data: COUNT(), COUNTA(), COUNTIF(), SUBTOTAL()
- Formatting data and reformatting datatypes in Excel using formulas
- Utilizing COUNTIFS, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, IFERROR, and combinations of these formulas
- Manipulation of large datasets in Excel (100,000+ rows)
- Ability to learn and understand a business model and fully comprehend operational concepts, relationships between those concepts and data being utilized
