Steampunk is seeking a Senior Disruption Designer to guide clients through our Design Intelligence® framework, driving adoption across multiple workstreams of a large federal advisory program — from portfolio changes to workforce transformation. You'll focus on the people impacted by change, engaging them to embrace new ways of working while identifying and mitigating resistance.

Responsibilities: 

• Facilitate workshops and interviews to frame pain points, define problem statements, and determine change readiness and resistance areas
• Run change readiness assessments identifying change champions, pilot participants, and likely resistance ahead of major transitions
• Synthesize research and data into compelling stories and presentations that shape transformation and change-enablement recommendations
• Instrument adoption telemetry and run stakeholder pulse checks supporting shared-services adoption targets
• Facilitate Disruption Design workshops producing prioritized critical-path adoption plans across portfolio, identity, workforce, and communications initiatives
• Develop and deploy pilot plans, communication plans, and training campaigns in partnership with key stakeholders, supporting IT-change adoption targets
• Support workforce transition change management toward the program's staff-independence target
• Collaborate and communicate stakeholder and user needs across a cross-functional Agile team

Required:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Organizational Development, Psychology, Business, or a related field
• 8+ years of organizational change management experience, including large-scale technology or process transformation programs, with strong grounding in established change management models and best practices
• Demonstrated experience with change readiness assessment methodologies and adoption measurement
• Experience conducting current-state assessments and future-state visioning to inform change and communication plans
• Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and synthesizing findings into action and training plans
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically across multiple concurrent workstreams and stakeholder ecosystems
• Proficiency with PowerPoint and collaboration/workshop tools (e.g., Mural)
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communications-campaign design skills
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to craft compelling stories from research and data
• Experience working within an Agile delivery framework, integrating change management activities into program cadences

Preferred:

• Federal or large enterprise client experience
• Experience supporting change management across multiple concurrent workstreams (portfolio, identity, workforce, communications)
• Prosci or CCMP change management certification
• Experience in Human-Centered Design / Customer Experience Design
• Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary delivery team, including service designers, UX/CX designers, and technical specialists
• Previous experience working as a consultant

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $180,000.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
