Overview

As a Steampunk Salesforce Functional Analyst/QA Tester, you will work with Technical/Solutions Architects and Developers to translate business requirements into well‐architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform. Develop, test, document and maintain solutions, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation using Salesforce declarative or programmatic development resources such as flows, validations, approvals, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and everything clicks not code. Execute test plans to ensure quality delivery using test code and unit tests. Follow coding standards and participate in code reviews during projects to ensure appropriate design patterns are followed. 

Contributions

Responsibilities include:

  • Meeting with product design team to determine testing parameters
  • Writing test plans, creating test cases, testing procedures, bug reports, final QA reports for products
  • Managing test data architecture with the Tech Lead
  • Troubleshooting errors and streamlining procedures
  • Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results, including three or more of the following:
    • Data validation testing
    • Functional testing
    • Performance and load testing
    • Usability testing
    • Accessibility (508) testing
  • Handling administrative functions in Salesforce applications including maintenance of user accounts, profiles, roles, security, and data access, setting up flows, sharing rules and permission sets. 
  • Administering standard and custom fields, map them out across integrations 
  • Analyzing database issues and troubleshoot problems. 
  • Assisting in training rollouts to new users and grow the application knowledge. 
  • Must envision, develop, and deploy tools to streamline processes to gain efficiencies and improve key metrics 
  • Must keep up to date on new Salesforce features  

Qualifications

  • Must have a BA/BS degree
  • Salesforce certified professional with a minimum of two years of Salesforce functional experience.   
  • Experience working with product owners to understand business needs and translate them into Salesforce specific user stories.   
  • Experience delivering a Salesforce project using Agile.   
  • Experience leading grooming sessions, developing the product backlog, leading Sprint ceremonies, planning and conducting testing and other functional related activities.  
  • Has experience leading, mentoring, and overseeing the work of junior functional resources. 
  • Certified Scrum Master preferred 
  • Must meet with product design team to determine testing parameters
  • Experience writing test plans, test cases, testing procedures, bug reports, final QA reports for products
  • Experience with troubleshooting errors and streamlining test procedures
  • Experience with testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results, including three or more of the following:
    • Data validation testing
    • Functional testing
    • Performance and load testing
    • Usability testing
    • Accessibility (508) testing

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $150,000.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
