Overview

Steampunk is looking for a Part-time Office Coordinator. The nature of the work requires that the candidate demonstrate initiative, organization, responsibility, customer service skills, and the ability to be flexible and adaptive to a fast-paced, fluid business environment. This position is in the office/on location.

Contributions

  • Present a professional first contact for Steampunk, greet clients, guests, and coworkers
  • Assist with managing the onboarding of new office team members to ensure a smooth start
  • Facility and space management, maintaining conference rooms and their calendar’s, ensuring space is tidy and stocked with necessary supplies
  • Track and manage inventory of supplies, snacks, beverages, swag
  • Keep a positive relationship with vendors and building staff
  • Handle logistics of important meetings; securing space, food/drink, supplies, etc.
  • Special Projects – handing one-off administrative projects as they come up, e.g., coordinating our upcoming office move, social media activities

Qualifications

 

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Slack
  • Experience a plus, (but not required), running a growing office, serving as an executive assistant, or planning events
  • Impeccable attention to detail and organization – ability to juggle multiple balls in the air with grace
  • Positive, whatever-it-takes attitude with a highly developed sense of accountability and ownership
  • Flexible mindset, ability, and willingness to adapt to changing needs
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and team skills
  • Ability to pick things up quickly, stand for long periods, and lift 50lbs regularly
  • Part-time role, seeking 15-20 hours per week
  • Will be required to be on site during working hours, at our office in Tysons, VA
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $20/hr to $25/hr  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
