Overview

Steampunk’s Legal Department is looking for a motivated, well-rounded Intern for the Summer of 2026.  We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to assist our in-house counsel with various projects. This internship provides hands-on exposure to how a legal team advises a business on risks and strategy in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Contributions

As a Steampunk Legal Intern, your daily responsibilities will vary, but you can expect to:

  • Support corporate compliance efforts.
  • Assist with employment law matters.
  • Learn about corporate intellectual property protection.
  • Get hands on exposure to federal contracting processes, regulations, and laws.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Current Law Student who has completed at least one year (1L or 2L) at an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate legal concepts for non-lawyers.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Copilot). 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Must be local to DMV
