Overview

Steampunk is seeking a highly motivated Recruiting Operations Intern to support our Talent Acquisition team. This internship offers hands-on experience across full lifecycle recruiting, recruiting operations, and talent strategy within a fast-paced consulting environment.

 

You will work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and the broader Talent team to support both candidate delivery and operational excellence, gaining exposure to how we attract, engage, and hire top talent across our programs.

Contributions

  • Interested in Recruiting and Recruiting Operations
  • Assist with recruiting operations, including applicant tracking system (ATS) updates, data integrity, and reporting
  • Partner with recruiters to identify talent pipelines and support proactive sourcing strategies
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to help track hiring progress and maintain recruiting momentum
  • Support candidate experience initiatives, ensuring timely, professional, and human-centered interactions
  • Assist in building and maintaining talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts within recruiting workflows and operations
  • Help support special projects across Talent Acquisition, including employer branding, outreach, and recruiting events
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Recruiting, HR, and Operations team

Qualifications

Must Have

 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Strong interest in Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, or HR Operations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, contribute, and take ownership
  • Detail-oriented with an interest in process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Local to the DMV area 
  • Rising junior, rising senior or current senior

Nice to Have

 

  • Interest in data, reporting, or recruiting analytics
  • Experience with campus organizations, leadership roles, or internships
  • Familiarity with tools like LinkedIn, Excel, or ATS platforms
