Overview

We are seeking a Change Management professional to help strengthen adoption of our Design Intelligence® framework for both new and existing employees. This role is focused on understanding barriers to engagement, developing and improving and training and communication content, and increasing practical use of our playbooks and best practices in day-to-day work. You will work closely with our Design Intelligence Coaches, Chief Design Officer, Marketing & Prod Squad, Portfolio Leads, Delivery Leads, and HR to help ensure the framework is clear, accessible, and actively used — not just introduced. Design Intelligence is foundational to how we work. This role ensures our people understand it, engage with it, and apply it in meaningful ways. If you enjoy diagnosing adoption challenges, developing and implementing communication strategies, improving learning experiences, and making frameworks usable and practical, this role is for you.

Contributions

Responsibilities

  • Assess barriers to adoption by gathering and synthesizing feedback through interviews, workshops, surveys, and engagement data
  • Develop and execute targeted communication and reinforcement strategies that increase understanding, engagement, and day-to-day use of the Design Intelligence framework
  • Review, refine, and improve communications, onboarding materials, training content, playbooks, templates, and best-practice artifacts to ensure clarity, usability, and practical application
  • Partner with HR, Design Intelligence Coaches, and delivery leaders to embed the framework into onboarding experiences and ongoing team workflows
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into prioritized, actionable recommendations to strengthen enablement efforts
  • Establish, track, and report on engagement and adoption indicators, continuously iterating content and approaches based on real-world usage and feedback

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Local to DC metro area; MUST be able to work in person in our Design Intelligence® studio in Tysons Corner 3-5 days/week
  • 5+ years of experience in change management, learning enablement, or organizational adoption
  • 8+ total years of experience
  • Experience improving training programs, content, or framework adoption
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to synthesize feedback and translate it into actionable improvements
  • Experience working in agile or technology delivery environments preferred
  • Clear, compelling written and verbal communication skills

 

Bonus Points

 

  • Experience in Human-Centered Design / Customer Experience Design / Design Thinking
  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams including Service Designers, UX and UI designers, technologists, data scientists, engineers, and solution architects
  • Understanding of and/or experience working within an Agile delivery framework

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $180,000.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
