Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to join us in delivering innovative technology solutions for a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. You will work with Technical/Solutions Architects, Developers, and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage AWS and the Salesforce platformIn this role we’re looking for solutions-focused candidates who thrive providing excellence to clients and have experience managing teams of technical personnel to build solutions and systems. The ideal candidate is a creative and hands-on leader, with experience managing teams in digital transformation and implementation efforts. You will be a client-facing advisor, coach, mentor, and an accountable manager with a proven track record of leading deployments of solutions in a client environment. 

Contributions

  • Serving as a delivery leader, accountable for completion of team delivery efforts including quality oversight, visibility into delivery targets, and client acceptance  
  • Supporting delivery operations, building and maintaining client relationships, fostering and promoting innovative thinking across the client environment. 
  • Developing and leading teams through solution prototyping, development, and deployment - from hands-on proposal technical support to prototyping client implementations and complete production deployment.  
  • Manage a larger delivery team of approximately 20-25 people. 
  • Manage schedule and resources for delivery team.  
  • Handling challenging client situations and offering guidance & direction to client executives. 
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of applications. 
  • Build client trust and respect, establish client relationships, and develop rapport with client. 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be local to the Tysons, VA area or willing to travel to the Washington, DC metro area. Work will be performed on-site at least 1 to 2 days per week. 
  • Ability to hold a position of public trust with the US government. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant discipline 
  • 10+ years experience working in software development to include testing, quality assurance, project/product planning, and project/product management 
  • A minimum of five or more (5+) years of direct experience managing technical teams and programs for federal customers. 
  • 5+ years of experience with development of case management systems 
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS 
  • Functional knowledge of data structures and understanding of how to leverage case management tools to meet complex process and reporting requirements 
  • Experience leading O&M support for production applications. 
  • Experience leading case management implementation projects and building a case management application. 
  • Experience leading the deployment of enterprise and custom software solutions in client environmentsusing Human Centered Design methods and techniques 
  • Experience in executive-level decision support for federal agencies 
  • Ability to plan, manage and execute an idea from concept to launch to meet key milestones and customer requirements  
  • Experience building and leading teams to delight clients and deliver excellence in fast-paced customer environments with minimal direction. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills   
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills 
  • Able to translate user stories into working software with minimal oversight 

Preferred: 

  • Graduate or higher degree 
  • Agile/Scrum Master certification 
  • PMP certification  
  • Active clearance / US Government “suitability” preferred 
  • Familiarity with principles of human centered design 
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Cloud Migration, and SaaS Application deployment technologies and emerging practices   
  • Experience working directly with and guiding SES level leadership in fast paced and demanding environments.  
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certifications

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $175,000.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
