Overview

The Enterprise Architect will play a critical role in designing and evolving secure, scalable, and adaptive enterprise architectures across a large, regulated organization. This role requires deep expertise in cybersecurity principles, architectural modeling, and innovative tooling that enables dynamic generation of architecture views based on baseline configurations and security overlays. The ideal candidate will bridge technology domains, compliance requirements, and business needs to deliver resilient and compliant architectural solutions.

Contributions

  • Serve as the lead architect for enterprise-wide systems, with a focus on secure design and compliance-driven architecture.
  • Develop and maintain architecture diagrams using advanced modeling tools that support dynamic view generation, enabling tailored visualizations based on technology stack, domain, and applicable cyber overlays.
  • Leverage architecture diagrams to streamline the development and updates of security packages, including System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and control mappings.
  • Integrate security requirements into architectural baselines, ensuring alignment with frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP, and Zero Trust.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, DevOps, and business teams to ensure architectural integrity and security posture.
  • Establish and maintain reusable architecture patterns and reference models tailored to regulatory and operational needs.
  • Support architecture governance processes, including reviews, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Evaluate and recommend tooling for automated architecture visualization and compliance mapping.
  • Lead efforts to modernize legacy systems and align them with enterprise security and cloud strategies.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to solution architects and technical leads across portfolios.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect in a regulated enterprise environment.
  • Strong background in cybersecurity architecture, risk management, and compliance integration.
  • Proficiency with architecture modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, C4, Sparx EA, or similar) and automation platforms that support dynamic diagram generation.
  • Deep understanding of security frameworks and overlays (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, Zero Trust, RMF).
  • Ability to translate complex technical and security requirements into actionable architecture views.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Certifications such as TOGAF, SABSA, CISSP, or AWS/Azure Architect are a plus.
