Overview

We are seeking a Management Consultant to support planning and execution for a large-scale Cloud Modernization Program that drives informed decision-making, priority alignment, and mission excellence across the enterprise.

 

We’re looking for a team member who listens actively, thinks creatively about complex challenges, and enjoys turning vision into action. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, balances multiple priorities with ease, and collaborates effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders. You’ll have the autonomy to ask thoughtful questions, offer fresh perspectives, and help shape meaningful outcomes.

Contributions

Key Contributions

  • Break down complex business and technology challenges into actionable project plans.
  • Execute operational plans to meet milestones and mission outcomes.
  • Develop executive-level documentation and deliver briefings that inform decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support planning and execution activities for enterprise cloud modernization initiatives.
  • Engage with customers to understand their mission, challenges, and priorities — asking thoughtful questions that uncover key insights.
  • Translate complex problems into actionable strategies, plans, and deliverables that drive measurable results.
  • Manage multiple workstreams, collaborating with technical teams, product owners, and senior stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to develop clear, data-informed recommendations.
  • Create and present executive-level briefings, reports, and presentations that communicate progress and opportunities.
  • Contribute innovative ideas, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and help build alignment across diverse teams.
  • Monitor progress, identify improvement areas, and refine approaches as needed.
  • Stay curious — explore new perspectives, tools, and methods to bring fresh thinking to every engagement.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • 3+ years of experience in federal strategic or operational planning, program evaluation, or organizational change management.
  • Proven ability to plan, manage, and deliver initiatives from concept to completion.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing executive audiences.
  • Skilled at working independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Naturally curious — eager to learn, explore, and bring creativity to complex problems.

Nice to Haves

  • Familiarity with Human-Centered Design principles. 
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA.

About steampunk

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,000 to $140,000.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
