Steampunk is seeking an accomplished and visionary Salesforce Technical Architect to oversee the technical design and strategy, delivery excellence, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions for one of our application development teams. This role will provide technical leadership, governance, and architectural oversight to ensure alignment with business objectives and best practices. This role also combines technical expertise, strategic leadership, and business acumen to manage a team of project-level Salesforce Technical Leads (who oversee the Salesforce Development Team), ensure scalable and innovative solutions, and actively contribute to the expansion of our account through business development and new work opportunities.
The ideal candidate has extensive Salesforce expertise supporting federal government clients, a proven ability to manage complex technical landscapes, a strong track record of mentoring and guiding project-level Salesforce Tech Leads/Developers, and the ability to align client objectives with transformative Salesforce solutions while fostering account growth.
As a Salesforce Technical Architect, you will be a technical servant leader to agile Salesforce product development teams, supporting technical delivery in a government client consulting environment via a COI orchestration framework. You will be responsible for the ongoing maturation and delivery improvements across these teams and in alignment with each team’s individual objectives. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining client relationships, developing and documenting standards and guidelines, and performing DevOps and release engineering. Additionally, you will document processes, ensure communication, manage change control and governance, and collaborate with the application development team, Technical Architects, and Project Managers to support delivery success.
As a Steampunk Salesforce Technical Architect, you will generally be expected to work with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into well‐architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform. You will oversee an application development team responsible for developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation. This involves utilizing Salesforce declarative or programmatic development resources, including triggers, flows, validations, approvals, Apex classes, and Lightning components (Aura and LWC). You will ensure the team executes test plans to ensure quality delivery using test code and unit tests. You will ensure the development team follows coding standards and participates in code reviews to ensure appropriate design patterns are observed.

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $175,000 to $220,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
