Overview

As a Steampunk Salesforce Developer, you will work with Technical/Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into wellarchitected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform. Develop, test, document and maintain solutions, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation using Salesforce declarative or programmatic development resources such as triggers, workflows, validations, approvals, Apex classes, Experience Site pages and Lightning Web Components. Execute test plans to ensure quality delivery using test code and unit tests.  Follow coding standards and participate in code reviews during projects to ensure appropriate design patterns are followed. 

Contributions

  • Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality business solutions on the Salesforce platform based on industry best practices as well as business needs 
  • Manage the process of implementing improvements and new functionality in custom built Salesforce application 
  • Provide support and solutions for break/fix issues 
  • Communicate and collaborate with other technical resources and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues and creative solutions 
  • Perform unit QA testing and provide peer review support for other developers
  • Ability to support custom-built Salesforce configurations with Lightning Web Components (LWCs), flows, and Experience Sites 
  • Handle numerous projects/priorities using proven project management methodologies and sound development practices to ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions 
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Functional Analysts, and Technical staff and be responsible for delivering complete work products based on business requirements
  • Research integration issues and work closely with team members on operations and development staff 
  • Research and development of new Salesforce prototypes and applications 
  • Research and keep current on Salesforce technology offerings and communicate trends and future needs to leadership 
  • Perform ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of applications 
  • Build client trust and respect, establish client relationships, and develop rapport with client 
  • Participate and engage in all team meetings, both internal and external
  • Document best practices and operational procedures 
  • Facilitate continuous improvement within the environment 

Qualifications

Required: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution 
  • 4+ years of experience with Salesforce development 
  • 5+ years of experience 
  • Knowledge of Salesforce data structure and understanding of how to leverage the tool to meet complex process and reporting requirements
  • Must have proven knowledge and practical application of Lightning Web Components (LWCs), APEX programming, APIs, and Web Services 
  • Ability to take initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative thinking 
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to grasp concepts quickly 
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and be a part of a past-paced mission-driven team
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies 
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain and government security clearance 
  • Salesforce Developer certification(s) 

 

 Preferred Skills: 

 

  • Unique combination of being business-minded and highly analytical while also having a strong and deep technical background in Salesforce 
  • Functional understanding of Salesforce DX methodology and source control best practices with tools like GitHub, GitLab, etc.
  • Proven history developing front-end web interfaces for Salesforce applications
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver results with aggressive timelines 
  • Able and willing to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with minimal supervision 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiences that are in a geographically dispersed environment (conference calls, Skype, face-to-face) 
  • Ability to produce high quality technical documentation and analysis 
  • Demonstrate sharp, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000 to $160,000.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
