We are seeking a motivated and energetic Project Management Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a key role in managing and supporting staff across contracts where we serve as a subcontractor and do not have a billable Program or Project Manager. The role will also include administrative and logistics support across a diverse portfolio of work. Ideal candidates will bring experience in project management or program management and a desire to grow in a fast-paced IT environment.

Staff Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for staff on contracts where a billable Program or Project Manager is not assigned.
• Ensure contract compliance by monitoring staff performance, hours, and deliverables.
• Facilitate onboarding and offboarding of staff, including coordinating equipment, systems access, and training.
• Address and escalate personnel issues in collaboration with HR and the Portfolio Operations Director.

Administrative & Logistics Support

• Coordinate logistics for portfolio-wide initiatives, including team meetings, reporting, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of company and portfolio operational initiatives, deliverables, and timelines across the portfolio.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing reports and other administrative documentation for internal and client use.
• Track and manage risks, issues, and action items across contracts.

Project Management Support

• Assist in the planning and execution of small-scale projects or deliverables within the portfolio.
• Provide status updates, track milestones, and support coordination between teams.
• Analyze trends in performance and recommend improvements to operational processes.

Required:

• Authorized to work for any U.S. employee and ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance
• 2+ years in project management, program coordination, or related roles.
• Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
• Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and proactively seek solutions.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic about learning.
• Energetic, resourceful, and detail-oriented.

Preferred: 

• Experience working in a studio / human centered design approach
• Familiarity with federal contracting or subcontracting is a plus.

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $175,000.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
