Overview

Steampunk, Inc. is searching for a Contracts Administrator to monitor and administer contract performance of its U.S. federal and commercial contracts.  The nature of the work requires that the candidate demonstrate initiative, organization, responsibility, customer service skills, and the ability to be flexible and adaptive to a fast-paced, fluid business environment. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively and decisively with all levels of the organization and be able to solve practical problems as well as exercise sound judgement when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

Contributions

  • Contract/subcontract management and administration for U.S. federal contracts with a focus in professional information technology services contracting
  • Support business development initiatives by issuing, reviewing and negotiating the terms and conditions of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Teaming Agreements (TAs)
  • Monitor company performance for conformance to contractual requirements, specifically, preparing and disseminating information throughout the organization regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, termination, and close out
  • Maintain records and documentation in accordance with company policy and ISO 9001 and CMMI procedures
  • Support the administration of the company’s GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contract and other GWAC vehicles
  • Completing Representations and Certifications and other contract and/or compliance related paperwork on behalf of the company
  • Assist senior staff as directed

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years’ experience in federal contract administration to include a working knowledge of the FAR, GSAR, and DFAR, as well as an understanding of the various contract types (CPFF, CPIF, FFP, T&M, Labor Hour, IDIQ, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • No security clearance required, but ability to obtain a clearance preferred
  • Strong contract/subcontract administration skills; e.g. monitoring funding, extensions, terminations, invoicing, compliance reporting, resolving issues, understanding security requirements, management of GFE, contract closeout, etc.
  • Ability to independently review contracts and agreements, assess the risk the terms and conditions pose to the company, draft alternative terms and conditions (if necessary), and negotiate an agreement favorable to the company’s interests
  • Experience with NDAs and TAs, etc.
  • Experience in drafting contract and subcontract modifications, basic agreements, and letters to partners and customers for modification requests and general contract communications
  • Ability to interpret contract financial performance and take action to coordinate with operations personnel regarding required business and contractual actions
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, even in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and computer skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365 Word, Excel, and SharePoint, and Deltek Costpoint
