  • Overview

    Steampunk is seeking a Payroll Manager to manage and process our semi-monthly labor and payroll using Deltek Time and Expense, Costpoint and ADP Workforce Now for approximately 200 employees in multiple states.

     

    The successful candidate must be a team player with good communication and people skills and able to work in a fast paced Government Contracting environment.

    Contributions

    • Timesheet Administrator- Setup and Maintain Timesheet access for all employees.
    • Maintain Employee Masterfile in Costpoint – setup New Hires
    • Work closely with HR Department to ensure that all systems are updated with employee and Company changes that effect both Labor and Payroll.
      • Salary Changes, Status Changes, Internal Transfers, Manager Changes
      • Maintain Payroll spreadsheet with all new hires, terminations, adjustments and changes to deductions for payroll validation.
    • Process and Post Semi Monthly Labor- Import Timesheets, making all additions and adjustments.
    • Prepare transfer file for Payroll – Process payroll file in ADP Workforce Now thru validation and submission for payment processing.
    • Assist with 401k file and match submission and reconciliation.
    • Reconcile Form 941 and quarterly reporting, W2s and W3 at year end for distribution to employees by January 31st each year.
    • Respond to employee questions regarding payroll and timesheet issues in a timely and confidential manner.
    • Maintain current training and knowledge regarding payroll and informational databases changes. Take applicable training to build and enhance your skills.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience with payroll & accounting.
    • Experience within government contracting accounting environment.
    • General accounting knowledge
    • 401K employee data management
    • Strong communication skills and collaborative personality.
    • Significant attention to detail when performing all job functions.
