    Steampunk is seeking an VP of Operations who will be accountable for delivery and on contract growth for our

    Defesne portfolio, working as a part of a fast paced and highly collaborative organization.  


    The VP of Operations will oversee, cultivate, and grow delivery within the Defense market and ensure Steampunk delivery teams meet and exceed quality and financial performance standards required by contracts. The VP of Operations will oversee project managers tasked with delivering solutions on time and within budget while working to find areas of growth and new business. S/He will be expected to have frequent interaction with the customer while delivering progress and financial status to the leadership team. The individual will be an executive who can impart vision for the path forward, simultaneously track and manage the details required to successfully oversee program management activities, maximize the effective use and development of program resources, and minimizing risk by ensuring appropriate project oversight. The VP of Operations will be responsible for staffing, succession planning and career development for a growing team of highly technical resources.  This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Defense and will work closely with other Steampunk Executive level leadership in formulating and executing corporate strategies.


    A successful candidate will have:

    • 10+ years of relevant experience leading information technology consulting services engagements, including the development of technical and management strategies and overseeing multiple complex projects.
    • BS in Technical, Business, Marketing or related field.
    • Experience managing budgets, meeting contractual and project deadlines, and overseeing multiple teams of sizes of over 30 resources
    • Experience managing multiple project managers and is responsible for overseeing multiple contracts to ensure the projects achieve the highest possible performance standards in accordance with contractual requirements, which is measured by CPARS and customer satisfaction surveys.
    • Experience effectively managing client delivery relationships to assess performance, provide overall technical and management subject matter expertise associated with the contracts, successfully navigate contractual negotiations and diagnose complex technical and business problems to uncover unknown and unmet client needs.
    • Experience assuring quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews and audits.
    • Experience performing overall contract financial oversight to include labor utilization, estimates at completion, revenue, and maintains profit and loss responsibility.
    • Experience serving as liaison between onsite client delivery teams and corporate departments including HR, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and others.
    • Demonstrated track record of driving consistent year-over-year revenue and profit growth for current clients, expand list of clients, and minimize client loss


    • Experience delivering or overseeing Salesforce, Data Exploitation, Artificial Intelligence or other cutting edge complex technology programs of 30 or more resources
    • Should have experience in small and mid-sized business, demonstrating knowledge and experience in the possible objections and issues that can affect the sales process
    • Should have knowledge and experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations
