The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of a portfolio of mid to large-sized internal technical projects that range in complexity and technology. The primary objective will be to support customer IT operations, maintenance, enhancement, and sustainment of the customer infrastructure and applications currently hosted in multiple platforms, supporting the customer IT investments, information assurance projects, application development, and project management. The candidate will report to the Program Management Branch Chief to coordinate Federal technical lead and third party contractors to oversee the execution of and manage Enterprise Security, Infrastructure, Telecommunication, Workforce Development, and Business Process projects.
The candidate will be expected to develop and deliver various project management and System Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation in support of these projects, and to provide expertise and technical guidance in the implementation of the projects, if needed. The candidate will work within the existing contractor team, which includes a site Project Manager, business analysts, and technical staff, but will have a significant amount of independence and autonomy in developing the appropriate implementation approach to the assign internal projects.
