  • Overview

    Steampunk is looking for a Senior Software Engineer and Machine Learning expert to join our growing team of experts solving some of the toughest challenges within our Federal Government.

    You will apply your knowledge and expertise of machine learning and artifical intelligence to build deep learning networks solving problems in problems in the areas of fraud detection and cybersecurity.

    The work is highly rewarding, self directed, and will be impactful to a broad set of users.


    • Recommend solutions to solve deep learning problems.
    • Develop statistical approaches deep learning models to evalute, train, and score data sets
    • Identify platforms and tools for analyzing large data sets.
    • Work in an Agile environment to design, develop, test, implement, and support solutions


    Minimum Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
    • 7+ year of relevant work experience, including software development.
    • 4+ years of work or educational experience in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Statistical Models
    • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++ or Python.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related technical field.
    • Experience with one or more of the following: CNNs, Jupyter, TensorFlow, GCP, AWS
